Your Season. Your Rankings. Your Rewards.

What is the Adventure Cup?

Every time you cross the finish line at one of our events, you're not just racing for the day — you're building your Adventure Cup standing. The Cup is our season-long points competition running across our full event calendar each year. At the end of the season we celebrate our top performers and reward every finisher with discounts on next year's events.

The Cup is designed for everyone. Whether you're a first-timer on the Novice course or a seasoned racer taking on the full X-Marathon, you're on the same leaderboard. How you climb it is entirely up to you.

How do I earn points?

Finish a race, earn points. Every finisher scores points based on where they place on their course on the day. The higher you finish, the more points you bank. But even finishing near the back always puts points on the board — showing up and finishing always counts.

Do harder courses earn more points?

Yes — and this is the heart of the system. Every course carries a difficulty multiplier. Harder courses are worth more points, so athletes who take on bigger challenges are rewarded accordingly. But here's the thing — a Novice racer who shows up to every single event will accumulate serious points across the season. Consistency is a genuine path up the leaderboard. You don't need to race Epic to be competitive in the Cup.

Here's roughly how the courses stack up in terms of difficulty weighting:

Course

Difficulty

X-Marathon 24hr

★★★★★

X-Marathon 12hr / Quest Epic

★★★★

Quest Classic

★★★

Quest Novice / Sprint Classic

★★

Sprint Novice / Women's Classic

Men and Women are ranked separately

Men and women compete in completely separate Adventure Cup standings. Women-only events count exclusively toward the women's rankings. At mixed events, men and women are ranked independently. You're always competing within your own gender field.

Does every event count?

Yes — every finish at every event in the calendar adds to your season total. There are no dropped results and no maximum event cap. The more you race, the more you accumulate. Miss an event and you simply don't score that round — your existing points stay exactly where they are.

Do I need to register for the Cup separately?

No. Race with us and you're automatically in the Cup. Nothing extra to sign up for — just race.

What do I get at the end of the year?

At season end we finalise the standings and celebrate our top finishers. Every participant who finished at least one event receives a discount toward next season's entries — our way of saying thanks for being part of the community. Top finishers in both men's and women's rankings receive additional recognition and prizes, announced as the season wraps up.

Tips to climb the rankings

Race more events — consistency beats the occasional big result. Progress to harder courses when you're ready — stepping up multiplies your points. Finish strong — every place counts within your course. And bring your crew — the more mates racing, the better the competition and the more fun the day.
